We cannot say that we are very surprised: many of our artists (Eilen Jewell, Zoe Muth, Jeffrey Foucault, Oh Susanna, Pokey LaFarge, John Fullbright, Crooked Still) get named in countless Americana/Roots "Best of Year" lists. Too many to share them here. But we are extremely proud to see that Israel Nash Gripka's Barn Doors and Concrete Floors leads the pack in the 2011 year's end list of the Euro Americana Charts. 

New Year's Eve and the early hours of 2012: Jools Hootenanny on BBC 2 gave us some great music to get the New Year started. And the winner is: Pokey LaFarge. After being on the National Dutch Album Charts for 3 weeks right after the release, Barn Doors and Concrete Floors, Israel Gripka's sophomore album, now has peaked at the # 8 position of the "Swedish Topp Listen". In between mostly National acts, Gripka is second best selling international artist in Sweden. Watch out Adele: here we come.

For those who thought that the sound of Israel's set at the Take Root festival was a bit over the top: go check him out at the Roepaen Festival. An exclusive acoustic set in the chappell of the old convent in Ottersum. Also appearing: Anne Egge, Frazey Ford, Kendel Carson/Dustin Bentall, Wynnton Marshals a.o. Well, that's the last bunch of vinyl WITH bonus DVD leaving our warehouse right there. Even after doubling the initial bonus pressing of the live CD we shipped both live CDs (also no longer available from us with bonus DVD!) and Barn Doors LPs  much faster than expected.
